Inicialmente, se consubstancia um entendimento entre as perspectivas da administração e as práticas gestoras na biblioteca universitária, seguido, ao mesmo tempo, da busca de um nexo causal entre essas práticas gestoras e a administração de bibliotecas, tanto sob a ótica da Ciência da Administração quanto sob a ótica da Ciência da Informação.
